About the role

As Head of Finance & Legal you lead one of our six core departments — building and running the airline's Finance and Accounting function, with managerial oversight of Legal and Corporate Secretary. Reporting to the Accountable Manager, you will stand up the accounting, revenue accounting, treasury and controls from launch, champion a low-cost and disciplined-controls ethos, and give the business the numbers and insight it needs to fly profitably from day one.

What you'll do

• Lead the Finance & Legal department — strategy, budget and senior hiring — and champion profit maximisation and unit-cost minimisation across the airline.
• Build and run the Finance & Accounting function — Chart of Accounts, core accounting system (ERP), revenue accounting, treasury and controls — on a lean, off-the-shelf, AI-native stack, through AOC / first flight and into operations.
• Own the standalone P&L, statutory and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and FP&A, and build an AI-native, next-generation management-information and reporting capability that drives decisions.
• Direct treasury and cash — cash-flow optimisation and interest-rate, FX and fuel-price risk — and lead business cases for fleet, investment and contract decisions.
• Ensure tax, statutory and regulatory compliance in Oman, maintain robust internal controls, and be the primary interface with auditors, banks, tax authorities, investors and the shareholder / board.
• Provide managerial oversight of Legal & Corporate Secretary — contracts, corporate governance and the company-secretary role (Board and Audit Committee) — and third-party counsel.

What you'll bring

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, including building and running a finance & accounting function in a fast-scaling or start-up environment.
• A qualified accountant (CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent), or equivalent senior finance standing, with strong financial-control and governance discipline.
• Tech-smart — fluent with new-generation, cloud / AI-native accounting software and modern reporting tools, and able to build lean, automated finance processes.
• Aviation finance experience is essential — finance & accounting in an airline or air-transport operator (a regional or small carrier preferred).
• A proven track record owning a standalone P&L, statutory reporting and a chart of accounts, and delivering against demanding financial targets while driving cost and profit improvement.
• Managerial oversight of a legal / corporate-secretary function, and familiarity with the Middle East / GCC financial, tax and regulatory environment.

• Board-level experience including company-secretary capability; familiarity with GCC-specific payment solutions; and charter / corporate (e.g. Oil & Gas) revenue accounting.
• An energetic, results-driven, hands-on self-starter with a low-cost mindset and strong integrity; Arabic language capability.
