Manager - Distribution and Ancillary Products

  • Muscat, Oman
  • Commercial
  • Full-Time
  • On-Site

Job Description:

About the role

As Manager, Distribution & Ancillary Products you own how customers find and book us — direct, GDS, OTAs, travel agents and offline — and how we grow ancillary revenue, reporting to the Director, Commercial. You will run a small, high-productivity team on a lean, technology-forward stack, with real understanding of the GCC customer.

What you'll do

  • Own the distribution strategy and channels — direct (web / app), GDS, OTAs, travel agents and offline sales, and partners — and manage channel mix and cost.
  • Build and grow the ancillary-products portfolio (seats, bags and add-ons) and optimise conversion and attach rates.
  • Manage PSS / GDS set-up, partner / NDC integrations and the online distribution build.
  • Set up distribution and corporate booking channels for Oil & Gas clients and government-subsidised regional routes, and enable sales at new points and small airports.
  • Manage payment methods across channels, including new-age and regionally preferred payment solutions.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in airline distribution and/or ancillary products, ideally with a regional operator.
  • Experience in the GCC, with an understanding of regional customer spending habits, culturally-related holiday demand (e.g. Eid and seasonal peaks) and disposable-income targeting.
  • Familiarity with regionally preferred payment and distribution methods, and experience with travel agents and offline distribution alongside online channels.
  • Strong command of PSS / GDS, online distribution and digital-sales / e-commerce tools, and new-age, technology-driven decision-making.
  • A track record of growing ancillary revenue and improving conversion, and comfort leading a small, high-productivity team.

What will set you apart

  • Experience with NDC, OTA / partner integrations and new-age payment solutions.
  • Experience enabling distribution for charter / corporate (e.g. Oil & Gas) demand, subsidised regional routes, or new-airport markets.
  • Arabic language capability; experience standing up distribution and ancillaries from the start-up stage.
